Dear BikeTrial Delegates and Friends,
A new BikeTrial season 2010 begins. I would like to thank all national delegates for their devoted and voluntary work last year. I know you work maximally for BikeTrial in your country while confronting limits of your time and finances. But progress of our sport is not possible without moving these limits and this you can’t do on your own.
I wish you could to find other voluntary people around you who will be able to help you. Every year come new young riders, who have their parents and maybe there we can find others to help in the National BikeTrial, who will want to work for other people and for our sport.
Especially I would like to thank the organizers of EBU international events in 2009:
• The European Cup 2009 in Březová (Czech Republic) – to Mr. Miroslav Bouda, to his son Daniel, to Mrs. Ester Krásová and to the whole club AMK KLUB BIKETRIALU in Březová u Sokolova.
• The European Cup 2009 in Darfo Boario Terme (Italy) – to Mr. Giuliano Gualeni and his family and to the club A.S.D. Dynamic Trial.
• The European Cup 2009 in Hook Woods (UK) – to Mr. Dave Bradley and his wife Pam and to the members of Essex BikeTrial Club.
• The European BikeTrial Championship 2009 in Catalonia (Spain) – to Mr. Rai Arjona, to Mr. Márius Mollá and to the Club BikeTrial La Garrotxa.
Thanks to these people and others around them we could have a good international BikeTrial season in Europe. 236 riders took part there in our events and these international events are for our young riders and their future which is the most important thing.
Hopefully now we look at the season 2010. We look forward to the events:
• The European Cup 2010 (1st round) – in Italy, 24th of April.
• The European BikeTrial Championship 2010 – in Andorra, 21st – 23rd of May.
• The European Cup 2010 (2nd round) – in Czech Republic, 26th of June.
• The European Cup 2010 (3rd round) – in Germany, 25th of September.
• The World BikeTrial Championship 2010 2 rounds – in Spain and Italy in July.
The organizers of these, our international events have our admiration, because they ensure important international events in a time when the financial situation is unfavorable.
In this connection I'm glad that even there is the starting fee in the new BIU 2010 rules, because our organizers can't organize events without money and I believe that you will bring as big as possible national teams to these events.
Dear Friends, if you have any ideas or suggestions for work of the E.B.U. we look forward to them. We plan to have the E.B.U. Committee Meeting for February.
Also I wish you to find in your country candidates for organizing the EC and the EBC in the following years. We are already looking forward to the EBC 2011 in Sweden from where we have already received an application form.
Also I wish you and your riders see success in the European and World events, and mainly to have a good time with our sport and that they appreciate your work as the delegates and organizers.
And I wish to all of you Good Health.
I am looking forward to seeing you in our events this year.
Libor Musil, President of the E.B.U. |
